Bunutan Point

Bunutan Point – Lipah Bay

Starting from the sand slope, you will see an impressively large school of Garden eels at around 12m. After the Garden eels, we would expect to do a gentle drift dive which enables us to effortlessly see amazing Barrel sponges, Blue-spotted rays, beautiful sea fans, schooling Chevron barracudas, Giant trevally, a wide variety of reef fish, and some resident White-tip reef sharks. The travel to Bunutan Point is 10 minutes by jukung (a traditional wooden fishing boat) from Japanese shipwreck or Jemeluk Bay. It starts with a gentle sandy slope which often has many different nudibranchs and other macro critters. Visibility is usually good (18-25m) although sometimes there are thermoclines.
